Offshore powerboat race week-end kicks off on friday 6/12 with a block party, downtown on arnold avenue, point pleasant beach, meet the racers from 4pm to 8pm. saturday, 6/13 race village is open to the public at 10am. from noon to 3pm boats test in the atlantic ocean off the point pleasant beach boardwalk. at 5pm there is a parade of boats through point pleasant beach. The new jersey offshore powerboat racing association has been the host club since racing started in point pleasant beach more than 40 years ago. Action wasn't lacking at the "2019 point pleasant beach offshore grand prix" this weekend. videos showed the race, sponsored by jersey mike's subs, as it ripped through the seas of point pleasant.
