one sheet boat designs
This is the one sheet boat i designed and built. this was a low budget build so i used non-recommended materials and building methods. it has worked fine so far but will likely not last a long time. One sheet sampan: free boat plans and building instructions. published march 18. 2004 last updated june 9. 2004: one sheet sampan gallery: 18' one sheet canoe, the dug: free boat plans and building instructions. published september 5. 2003 last updated august 15. 2007: dug gallery: hv's hattory: one sheet navy admiral's hattorious hatship. 1) 1 4'x 8' sheet of 1/4 inch b/c grade plywood 2) 2 8" 2x4's (as few knots and a straight as possible, yeah, yeah i know) if you are not entering a contest like i was you might want to get a knot free 1x4 for the chine logs. 3) 1 roll of duct tape. (once again if you are not entering a contest like i did get yourself some waterproof adhesive, chaulk and maybe some fiberglass tape and resin. 
one sheet boat designs This is intended to be built of one sheet of 1/4” ply and four 8 ft. 1x2s. it is glued together with pl premium & masonry fillets with a modified “tack and tape” system. this is simplicity boat’s s&g system. (short for, smoooge and goo.) the hull weighs between 25 & 30 lbs if made of luan ply. bc is heavier – 40ish. One sheet boats. boat-designs with a hull made of one single sheet of plywood (244 x 122 cm or 250 x 122 cm). gorewood one sheet canoe made of one sheet of poplar plywood (3 mm, 250 x 122 cm) loa: 366 cm beam: 70 cm design displacement: 90 kg.
